A grand jury report on ground water contamination in Escambia County has been released by the State Attorney's Office.
The 43-page report shows that agencies such as the Escambia County Utilities Authority, Department of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Protection Agency failed in their responsibilities to the public.
The report makes 24 recommendations to improve ground water conditions in Escambia County. The 21-member grand jury did not issue any criminal indictments for officials named in its report. |
